Dr. Taye Woldesemayat, Chairman of Kinijit International Council (KIC), delegates of Kinijit party in Diaspora

Dr. Bezabih Demissie and Shaleka Admassu Melaku, and other delegates of KIC were in Las Vegas for a Town Hall meeting.

The meeting was very successful and productive by many accounts. A Large crowd attended the meeting than any previous

meetings in Las Vegas. Ato Hailu Shawel, Chairman of Kinijit Party has delivered a short speech to Kinijit Supporters in

Las Vegas. Ato Hailu Shawel expressed his gratitude to the Diaspora community on behalf of all prisoners of conscience

released from EPRDF jail.

In his speech, he expressed the need to work together and tackle the enormous struggle that the people of Ethiopia are facing.

He emphasized the need for the Diaspora community to work in unison with KIC to move the struggle forward. KIC will abide

by its commitment to end division and resurrect the fading unity among Kinijit supporters in Diaspora. All concerned and involved

in the unfortunate circumstances should know that there is no winner or looser in this situation.

KIC kindly requests all Kinijit supporters all over the world to ignore fabricated innuendos designed to divide and weaken the

struggle for democracy in Ethiopia. KIC will continue to talk to all individuals who stayed away from its formation and reach

consensus on how to go about and consolidate the struggle. All Kinijit supporters are kindly requested to guard themselves, protect

and defend the leaders of our organization from destructive campaign launched by the enemies of Kinijit.

KIC says let us leave the past where it belongs and stand united and firm in support of our leaders. It is time to move on, get

organized, and be ready to deliver whenever our support is required for the struggle at home. There is no looking back but only

forward. The West Coast Tour of Kinijit Officials will continue. They will be in San Diego on July 28^th and Los Angeles on

July the 29^th.
