Kinijit Central Committee members, Dr Bezabeh Demissie and Shaleka

Admasu Melaku, Kinijit International Council Officials, Dr. Taye

Woldesemayat and Ato Mesfin Mekonen have been touring the West Coast

on a working visit. So far, they have been to Seattle, Sacramento, and

San Jose. In all their appearances, the high level Kinijit delegation have

met with leaders of the Ethiopian civic and community affairs

organizations, faith leaders, and addressed exceptionally large gatherings.

What this West Coast Tour and Panel discussion achieved so far can be

summarized in the following terms:

 

• All baseless accusations and name calling and smear campaign

against KIC as an organization and its officers, in particular, were

laid open and dealt with effectively.

 

• All facts concerning the mediation effort by the two CC delegates

were revealed and explained to the satisfaction of the audience.

 

• All questions raised by the audience in every meeting was answered

and left no lingering doubts about the directives given by Kinijit

party executives and the formation of Kinijit International Council as

a body to coordinate the Diaspora Kinijit Movement.

The tour by the CC members and KIC delegation will continue and the

officials will be in Las Vegas on Wednesday July 25th, San Diego on July

28th and in Los Angeles on the 29th. On all these occasions, we are happy

to announce that Engineer Hailu Shawel, Chairman of Kinijit Party will

address the audience.
